Nestled in the rolling hills of Texas, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Austin and San Antonio, a charming and intimate wedding venue awaited the union of two amazing souls. Surrounded by the views of the scenic countryside and bathed in golden sunlight, this picturesque setting was destined to witness a love-filled celebration.
Elizabeth and Jacob were finally able to celebrate the wedding day they’ve always wanted. Having met while both were in the military, and having been married on paper for years, their wedding at Ring Mountain Event Center was truly a long time coming for these two!
The vibes and aesthetic of the day couldn’t have been more amazing. Elizabeth and Jacob are such a fun couple who I am so glad to have connected with! They have two little boys who — let’s be honest — might have stolen the spotlight a time or two throughout the day. Watching them all dance together was such a sweet moment.
I love love loved so much about this Texas micro wedding, including but not limited to the momentos the couple gave me to photograph. You could instantly tell that a lot of thought and effort was put into the wedding day’s details. The bride even made the pampas photo wall herself! It was an absolute hit at the party that night.
The ceremony spot at Ring Mountain is perfect for a small wedding with a small guest list, while still being an option offering some amazing views overlooking the valley below. Elizabeth and Jacob prioritized the timing of their ceremony to line up with having the perfect golden hour light for their newlywed intimate photos. I mean, LOOK AT THAT LIGHT!!! I have to admit I was dying the entire time at all the beauty in front of me.
I remember chatting with Elizabeth before her wedding day and she had mentioned that the venue does not allow sparklers, which is probably THE most common prop used for grand exits at the end of a wedding. Some venues don’t allow it for many reasons, which is totally fine! I suggested we try some photos where the guests hold their phones up with their lights shining, and it turned out so well! I definitely recommend considering doing it if you are looking for ideas that are different and/or don’t involve fire.
Toward the end of the day, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement. With every click of my camera, I was capturing not only Elizabeth and Jacob’s love but also the essence of their unwavering trust in me. It was an honor to witness their wedding and freeze those cherished moments in time.
