Rustic Chic Wedding at Mountain Laurel Farm | North Georgia Intimate Wedding
September 25, 2020
Cleveland, Georgia. What an honor it was to be there this day for Kate and Matt’s intimate north georgia wedding. I first met them late in the previous year and we instantly connected. I remember their engagement session from a year ago like it was yesterday. Winding through national forest roads to a remote spot where a beautiful waterfall trickled over a massive cave. Good times were had by all.
Fast forward to a crisp Spring day in the North Georgia Mountains. Two families and their closest friends gathered at Mountain Laurel Farm to celebrate Kate and Matt the best way they could. They cheered, they cried, they danced like no one was watching. The love and support that their family and friends showed was such a reminder of what’s important in this precious life.
As is custom in Georgia, the weather that day was all over the place. Cloudy, then sunny, then back to cloudy again. It seriously started raining two minutes before their outdoor ceremony was set to begin. Didn’t matter one bit though. Just have to roll with the punches when it comes to springtime showers and these two couldn’t have had a better attitude about it. In my wedding (and weather) experience, seemed like a typical North Georgia wedding with an outdoor ceremony to me 😅
But no two weddings are ever alike. Doesn’t matter if you place them in the same location, and provide them with the same details, same dresses, same flowers. They still wouldn’t be the same. The couple, their love, their families, and the celebration of two families coming together as one will always make a wedding unique. Even if you took away the venue, the details, and those flowers, it still would be beautiful. Spending the weekend with these two and all of their people was nothing short of amazing.
